I am sitting here today about to go off to Yosemite and spend some quality time with the family, one of which is my son who just has such a love for life and really is allot of fun. And I’m really sad sitting her reading the news. Sad because here we are in 2006 supposedly so far ahead of where we came from but everyday more and more people are taking part in what I have termed Kidocide. Kidocide is taken from “Kid” off course and “Genocide” – n. The systematic and planned extermination of an entire national, racial, political, or ethnic group. Our “Kids” are being sytematically raped, murdered starved and wiped out – Kidocide.

Yesterday they arrested a man under suspicion for the death of JonBenet Ramsey. (Google Search) and as I watched the news intently sad and mad at the same time I cam across this story on this little man Zayquon “Z” Hammond (Website). This little boy was left by his mom in the care of a boyfriend 21 years old, who took “Z” to McDonalds then when returning to the apartment became enraged and kicked and punched “Z”til he fell down the stairs. How someone could act this way to “Z’ or do what they did to JonBenet Ramsey is beyong me. Kids are so sweet and so innocent they deserve nothing like this, but is this only in the United States? No in fact there are things going on all over the world where children, innocent children are facing things no one should have to face:

1. Task Brazil – An organization to help abandoned kids on the streets of Brazil some as young as 2 and 3 years old.

2. Rwandan Children – There are to many sites to list but the genocide in Rwanda has left hundreds of thousands of kids orphaned, raped , hungry and mentally affected with the realization of what they have witnessed.

3. Iraq Childen Unicef – Unicef is just one of many organizations that is reaching out to the children of Iraq and remembering that they are not responsible for their surroundings. (note. see also Operation Iraqi Children)

4. Children of Thailand – And the far east have experienced the tsunami but also a pedophile sex trade business that keeps children trapped in the sex trade.

I could go on and on,basically every where you look our kids are under attack. We have to look at ourselves and our communities and see what we can do differently to make a change to this. It sickens me to hear these stories day after day or to think of the kids out there suffering when they should be natured and nurtured by us.

Psalm 127:3
“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”

New World translation:
Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him
