]]> Well well well, the supreme court today gave Dubya the Gitmo smack down, pretty amazing if your not familar let me see if I can lay it out for you. Basically one of the detainees at Guantonomo Bay filed a petition with the court saying that he could (or should) not be tried in a military court but that they should be allowed his due process under the Geneva convention. If you want the long drawn out version here is the whole rulling here. The amazing thing about this was that many people painted Dubya’s appointments to the Supreme court as the end of the Liberal Supreme court as we know it and then the first time at bat the court totally goes against Dubya. I’m sure that is the last thing he expected.
