The New York Knicks & Denver Nuggets put another black eye (no pun intended) on the game of basketball last night when they engaged in a brawl near the end of the game. In a first as far as i know all 10 players on the court at the time of the melee were ejected. The NBA trying to shed the “thug” aspect of the game will now be looking at another public relations nightmare with the current NBA leading scorer Carmelo Anthony playing a big part in the fight and likely to draw a heavy suspension. Playing basketball as I do (albeit recreationally and not for millions of dollars) I understand the testosterone and nature of the trash talking but these men are professionals and paid a good sum of money to be just that, professional. There is no room in professional basketball for fights!
